Bradley Cooper and Omar Sy in Talks to Star in Derek Cianfrance’s Comedy CHEF

NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

via glooce

Quite the “crowd-pleasing” team-up is in the works for director Derek Cianfrance’s (Blue Valentine) new film Chef.  Two actors from two incredibly popular 2012 films (Silver Linings Playbook and The Intouchables) are looking to topline the project, a Variety reports that Bradley Cooper and Omar Sy are in talks to lead the culinary comedy.  Cooper will play “a disgraced chef who, after losing his Michelin-rated restaurant in Paris, decides to bring his crew back together in an attempt to create the best restaurant ever in London.”  Cooper has experience in the world of the culinary arts, as he previously starred on the short-lived Fox sitcom Kitchen Confidential.

Production on the Weinstein Company project isn’t expected to begin for some time, and neither Cooper nor Sy have officially signed on.  It sounds like an interesting change of pace for Cianfrance, though, coming off the rather dark Blue Valentine and the upcoming epic crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines, which also stars Cooper.

'The Impossible' actor Ewan McGregor has admitted he worried about growing old when he turned 40, but has now embraced his age. Ewan McGregor is worried about getting old.

'The Impossible' actor has revealed he was in a panic about turning 40 in 2011, but has now calmed down and embraced his older and wiser self.

In an interview with Italian magazine IO Donna, he said: ''When I turned 40 I started worrying about my age and getting older, but now that I'm over that I'm content and relaxed with ageing... It's OK.''

The 41-year-old Scottish actor has four daughters, Clara, 15, Esther Rose, 11, and adopted Jamiyan, 11, and Anouk, two, with his wife Eve Mavrakis, and he has been following his parents example when it comes to raising them.

The 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' star keeps his rules and morals for his kids simple and just wants them to know the difference between right and wrong.

He said: ''When it comes to my kids, there are few simple values I cherish, the same as my parents. What's wrong, what's right, kindness, a solid culture and good manners.''

The actor, who has been married to production designer Eve, 46, since 1995, isn't sure what the secret to a happy relationship is, but mused: ''There are no rules when it comes to marriage. Still being in love after all the years helps.''

Josh Hutcherson Reveals His Celebrity Crush

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

    via glooce

Josh Hutcherson has revealed his celebrity crush, and it's not Jennifer Lawrence or any of his other Catching Fire costars (although he's reportedly very bromantic with Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin).

Instead the Hunger Games hottie is crushing on another butt-kicking babe, lovely Avatar star Zoe Saldana. Who knew he was into cougar-hunting?

The much-older object of Josh's affection recently broke up with Bradley Cooper, but Josh will be disappointed to know that she's already been spotted out and about with a mystery man. Maybe Josh should work on scoring a role as a little green man in Star Trek 2 or Avatar 2 so that he can get close to the woman who makes up half of everyone's favorite big, blue alien couple. At the very least, he should throw on a pair of antennae or Spock ears since Zoe is obviously into extraterrestrials.

It's odd that Josh Hutcherson has a crush on Zoe Saldana since his Catching Fire costar was recently linked to Bradley Cooper. Brad denied rumors that he and Jennifer Lawrence are dating, but how weird would it be if Josh hooked up with Zoe and Jen hooked up with Brad? There would definitely be no double dates going on there.

Josh has also been dealing with a slew of dating rumors—he's been linked to Selena Gomez, his ex-girlfriend Lanchen Mihalic, and Carrie Diaries star Chloe Bridges.

So since he's quite the ladies man, who knows? Maybe he actually has a chance at hooking Zoe.

Shia LaBeouf tried Acid for Movie Role

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

    shia

In his new filmNecessary Death of Charlie Countryman,Shia LaBeouf plays a character who trips on acid. To make sure his depiction was accurate, LaBeouf dropped acid and filmed himself -- and then asked costarEvan Rachel Woodfor pointers!

During an interview withMTV at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah for the mafia film, LaBeouf, 26, admitted he was "scared" to a play character who trips on acid because he'd "never done acid before." So, he decided to try it out for real and film his trip.

"I remember sending Evan tapes," he said. "I remember trying to conjure this and sending tapes and Evan being like, 'Yeah, that's good, but that's not, but this is, but that ain't.'"

"Not like I would know about these drugs!" Wood, 25, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Jamie Bell, interjected.

"Not like she's the expert on set," LaBeouf explained. "I'm just saying you reach out to friends and you sort of gauge where you're at. So I was sending tapes around. I'd get fifty percents from people, and that starts creeping me out, and I got really nervous. Towards the end, I was like . . ."

"It was spot on," Wood told her costar.

"That's what propels things like that -— being nervous that you're not going to get it right or it's not going to be honest," LaBeouf said. "You subject yourself to things and you can't choose your thoughts. You can't choose your feelings. But you can really influence them, and I just try to influence myself as much as possible."

James Franco Traces Gay Rumors Back To High School Bullying

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

    via glooce

Much has been said, written, speculated and fantasized about in regards to James Franco’s sexuality. And while queer fare like Interior. Leather Bar and kink only stoke the flame, so to speak, it’s nothing that the actor-director-[insert other title here] isn’t accustomed to.

“In high school these girls got mad at me and so they spread this rumor that I was having a gay relationship with one of my closest friends,” he told MTV News . “And they even made up a little dance they would do in the girl’s locker room about me being gay. I still don’t know what the dance was.”

Nowadays, however, Franco doesn’t let the rumors get to him, since he’s got bigger, gayer fish to fry.

“It wasn’t like it was anything new,” he said. “And in fact, it wasn’t something that frightened me, like if people think that, it’s fine. I really don’t care.”

Intent on helping his self-destructive brother find redemption, Elijah must side with Marcel’s enemies to keep Klaus in line.

If The Originals is ordered to series, Gillies will star on both the spin-off and his Canadian medical drama Saving Hope.

Benedict Cumberbatch on his snug Star Trek 2 outfit: “You can almost see what religion I am”

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

    via glooce

Benedict Cumberbatch discussed his little Cumber-batch's starring role in Star trek Into Darkness, thanks to the skintight suit his villainous character John Harrison wears. Courtesy of The Sun:

"The costumes look great. Some of them were very cumbersome and heavy, but some were very snug. You can almost see what religion I am."

That sound you just heard was 100,000 erotic Benedict Cumberbatch fan fic writers fainting in pure joy. But his statement does beg the question: What exactly are we going to be seeing in the movie? Will we get the uncut edition? Will there be a director's cut later on? If the latter, are Cumberbatch and J.J. Abrams still on speaking terms, or did things get too awkward?

Ryan Gosling featured in GQ Australia

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

    via glooce

The world’s hottest actor, Ryan Gosling, tells us about dealing with fame and swimming with sharks. By now, Ryan Gosling should be on his fourth or fifth stint in rehab. At the very least he ought to be wearing an ankle bracelet. That’s the way it tends to be for former child stars. And make no mistake — that’s what he is; he started out like Britney, Christina and Justin, on The Mickey Mouse Club, aged 12. But today, a grown-up 32, there have been no sex tapes, no drug busts, no whiffs of scandal. Instead, he’s sharply dressed and well-groomed. He’s fit, and good at what he does for a living. He’s weirdly normal. Aside from being the coolest man on the planet.

We’ve had a hunch about this for some time, but it was confirmed recently when we launched a new GQ ad campaign, which went like this: ‘The ideal man doesn’t exist. His magazine? Absolutely.’ You may have seen it. Anyway, the day those ads went live, the emails started, along with the Facebook posts, tweets, bleets, whatever, from readers pointing out our mistake. Because of course the ideal man does exist. It’s Ryan Gosling.

“What?” says Gosling, when we tell him. “People actually got in touch to say that?”
Yes sir, they did. Because, as unlikely as it seems given that cheesy Mouseketeer beginning, he’s evolved into something entirely different: the kind of man who makes unexpected movie choices; who takes his dog, George, to yoga with him; who gets every outfit right without ever looking like he’s made an effort. The result is a unique cocktail that makes men envy him and women fall for him. It’s not bad going.

Today the only thing that’s less than ideal about the man is a touch of croakiness in his voice. Gosling’s been under the weather, and our interview has been shifted a couple of times, but don’t panic, it’s nothing serious. “It happens every time I finish a movie,” he explains in that slow, drawn-out, Brando-esque drawl that cloaks his Canadian-ness. “But I’m good, I’m good. I’m feeling top of the pops. How are you?” Oh, we’re fine. Thanks for asking."

The movie (currently without a name) that’s left him run down on this occasion
is one by director Terrence Malick, which he’s been filming in Texas with Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman. That’s set to hit cinemas later this year, but first up he stars in this month’s Gangster Squad as Jerry Wooters, a cop in late-’40s LA recruited for an off-the-book team tasked with taking back the city from the clutch of mobster Mickey Cohen, played by a chillingly shark-eyed Sean Penn.

Gosling has often found filming hard work, emotionally draining — not this time. “It was fun,” he says. “When I was a kid I was kind of obsessed with that movie Dick Tracy. Burger King had all this Dick Tracy stuff and I collected all of it, and
I had the posters and I watched it on a loop. Obviously this is a very different movie, but it seemed to have some of the sensibilities of that. So that was fun for me.” It shows. Dressed in a trilby, three-piece suit and shoulder holster, Gosling’s character is by far the best, calling women “sugar”, sipping on cocktails with umbrellas and nailing it at target practice even without taking the cigarette from his mouth. He’s also unsurpassed when it comes to the handling of a) his Zippo lighter, and b) Emma Stone. The film’s a well-written, colourful, violent blockbuster.

“Thanks,” he says, pausing. “I’ll have to take your word for it.”

Ray Liotta, Juno Temple & Jeremy Piven Join Robert Rodriguez's 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

    via glooce

2013 could prove to be the year of Robert Rodriguez. The prolific filmmaker has always been uber-productive, but this year, we'll get a double dose: he'll have two films hit theaters a month apart of each other. The first, "Machete Kills" will land in theaters on September 13th via Open Road and and then four weeks later, Dimension Films' "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" will follow. And with cameras rolling on the highly anticipated follow-up to "Sin City," three more actors have joined the cast.

Sources close to the production have confirmed to The Playlist that Ray Liotta, Juno Temple and Jeremy Piven have all come on board the picture. Details on their characters are being kept under wraps for now, but the trio join some very good company. 'A Dame To Kill For' is chalk full of talent, including original cast members Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jessica Alba as Nancy, Rosario Dawson as Gail and Jaime King as Goldie/Wendy and newcomers to the fold Josh Brolin as Dwight (replacing Clive Owen), Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny, Dennis Haysbert as Manute (replacing the late Michael Clarke Duncan) and Jamie Chung as Miho. Production is already underway at Rodriguez’s always busy Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.

Liotta is on a bit of a comeback, fresh off roles in Andrew Dominik's "Killing Them Softly" and Derek Cianfrance's "The Place Beyond The Pines," which audiences will be able to see in the spring. He'll also soon be seen in "The Iceman" opposite Michael Shannon and Olivier Megaton's "Into The Americas." Temple is coming off "The Dark Knight Rises," has "The Brass Teapot" on the way and will be seen in three Sundance films this week: "Afternoon Delight," "Magic Magic" with Michael Cera and "Lovelace" starring Amanda Seyfried. She also has upcoming roles on the horizon in "Maleficent" starring Angelina Jolie and "Horns" with Daniel Radcliffe. Meanwhile, Piven has been busy with his new series "Mr. Selfridge," which is now airing in the U.K. and will hit American TV screens via PBS later this year.

"Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" arrives in theaters on October 4th.

BERLIN: "Django Unchained" and "Titanic" star Leonardo DiCaprio said on Friday he was planning to take a significant break from filming and concentrate on his environmental campaigning.

In an interview with Germany's mass circulation daily Bild, the 38-year-old American actor said: "I am a bit drained. I'm now going to take a long, long break. I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out."

"I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment," added DiCaprio, in comments published in German.

DiCaprio is currently starring in Quentin Tarantino's blood-soaked spaghetti Western tribute "Django Unchained," which picked up two Golden Globes on Sunday.

He has also recently filmed "The Great Gatsby", directed by Baz Luhrmann and Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street."

He burnished his green credentials in the Bild interview, saying: "My roof is covered with solar panels. My car is electric. A normal person does not drive more than 50 kilometres (31 miles) a day. That can be done with a plug."

MilkPEP Joins Super Bowl Lineup, Preps Ad With Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

    .
Peter Berg directs :30 from Deutsch By Tim Nudd

A broadcast known mostly for beer and soda is getting something different this year: a tall glass of milk.

The Milk Processor Education Program, aka MilkPEP, is preparing its first Super Bowl commercial for the Feb. 3 telecast on CBS, The New York Times reports.

The 30-second spot, from Deutsch in New York, will star Dwayne Johnson, aka, The Rock. Directed by Peter Berg of Friday Night Lights fame, the ad will reportedly show the lengths to which a father will go to make sure his kids have milk for their cereal in the morning. The production company behind the spot is Pony Show Entertainment.

Thematically, that sounds reminiscent of the recent MilkPEP spot with Salma Hayak in which the actress arrives home from a fancy night out to find she has no milk for the morning—so, she sets out on a wild goose chase to find some.

The Super Bowl spot will be a crazier affair, however. Photos taken this week on the Long Beach, Calif., set of the commercial show a lion, muscle men, stilt walkers and clowns.

MilkPEP is best known for its milk-mustache campaign. It licenses the "Got milk?" tagline from the California Milk Processor Board, which runs its own separate marketing campaigns

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD

Jeremy Renner shared some big news with Eva Longoria on the smoking patio at the Golden Globes Jan. 13: He's going to be a father! The Bourne Legacy actor, 42, "was saying, 'I'm going to fly in when her water breaks,'" two witnesses tell Us Weekly exclusively.

"Then Eva said, 'I'm so blown away.'" Shocking, but true. Multiple sources confirm to Us that an ex-girlfriend of the actor is due to give birth next month. "they used to date but it wasn't serious," explains one insider, adding that the expectant mom is currently living in Renner's L.A. home."

The Hollywood hunk is "being ultra-secretive about it," the insider adds, "but she has been going on about her life and not hiding it." Last April, the resolutely private actor shut down longstanding false rumors that he was gay, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "I want my personal life to be personal, and it's not f-cking true."
